"Digestion problems"
May 16, 2008 by Jennifer BryanAlong with having Asthma comes heartburn, acid reflux and of course aggitation of the esophagus leading to Asthma symptoms.
I was told about ten years ago to watch what I eat. Avoid greasy foods, the foods I am allergic to as well as foods that are acidic. Well, that pretty much cut out everything I have wanted to eat.
Granted, I was already conscious about my intake of greasy foods. On my paternal side there is a very high risk of heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.
Of the six children including my dad, there are only four of them left. The remaining who are living have all had serious health issues.
My mother has had some health issues here and there including acid reflux. Off and on she has been on medication for it.
My ex husband has had heartburn and acid reflux for at least ten years now. For many years Tums was a main staple in his diet. Then our family physician prescribed him prevacid then acifex.
Only on occassion, mostly during the holiday seasons do I get heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux. I tend to eat alot because I love food. My biggest weakness is chocolate. If I eat a lot of chocolate, which I can do quite easily heartburn will set in.
Several weeks ago while at my best friends' house I had horrible indigestion. They gave me a small glass of Ultimate Aloe Strawberry Kiwi Aloe Juice Flavor. Within minutes it felt like my digestive system was softly coated and the indigestion was gone!
My best friend takes it on a daily basis. He can definitely tell when he hasn't taken his small glass of aloe juice.
This a very natural way to alleviate digestive problems that also helps heal the system.
